Leadership of the Diploma Thesis Doc. Mgr. Ing. Radomir Scurek, Ph.D. This diploma thesis deals with the security study of physical security of passenger railway transport in Slovakia. Its theoretical part is focused on definition of legislative and normative framework related to protection of persons and property, description of chosen risk analysis, terms and basic knowledge and information in the area of physical protection. It characterizes the particular subjects that compose the sector of passenger railway transport and provide an overview of the current state of securing this sector. The practical part is focused on the security study and selected draft of innovative measure for those areas of passenger railway transport, that are the most exposed to criminality and which require intervention into conditions in which it works nowadays.
