Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis summarizes the basic information about titanium and its alloys. It is focused on the mechanical properties, physical - metallurgical characteristics and the method of heat treatment. The first part aimed on basic information about titanium as an element and its raw material resources. It also describes the mechanical properties, technological properties and corrosion resistance in various environments. The second part discusses the basic types of titanium alloys and their physical - metallurgical characteristics. The last part is focused on experimental analysis of Ti α and Ti-Al-V alloy type.
