Abstract
Nowadays it is not always easy to find an appartment in private ownership. If people do not want to build their own house, of which construction is complicated by the purchase of still decreasing land, they have only one option – to buy housing units.
The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is not only to explore the different ways of financing, to compare the advantages of each type of financing and to recommend the best one for a given type of situation in the end, but also to explain the conditions and procedures set by the housing association that we may come across when buying an appartment.
This Bachelor’s Thesis consists of three major chapters. The second one concentrates on the development of banking and on explaining the basic terminology that a loan applicant may come across.
The third chapter focuses on two financial institutions: Komerční banka and Modrá pyramida stavební spořitelna. It describes their home-financing loans, parameters of the loans and the process of financing from applying to loan drawing.
The fourth part where theory is applicated on real life follows the previous chapters and is focused on entering given model situation parameters to the loan calculator, analysis of the collected data and the resulting recommendations.
