Abstract
This thesis focuses on the use of aluminum alloy castings in the automotive industry. It is also engaged in the production of aluminum and aluminum alloys, the properties of these materials and not least their casting. There are described different kinds of casting aluminum, the most widely used aluminum alloys and their use in the automotive industry.
