Využití rámcových programů EU pro výzkum a vývoj v letech 2002 - 2010

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the participation of the Czech Republic in the EU framework programmes during the years 2002 - 2010 and aims to evaluate the current situation. The first part describes the character of framework programmes, with the main focus on the 6th and 7th framework programme. In the second part, there are mentioned possibilities of participation and cooperation in European research and development along with EU's and Czech Republic’s aims in this area. The subject of the third part is the analysis of the Czech participation. The evaluation is mainly based on statistical comparison of the Czech participants in the 6th and 7th framework programme and on the comparison of the Czech Republic with other EU member states. The overall outcome of the work ends up negative for the Czech Republic as our country failed to improve its position among European competition. Nevertheless, Czech Republic has a considerable options and potential for improvement in the area of international cooperation in European research and development. The possible solutions are expressed in the end of the bachelor thesis.
