Abstract
Diploma thesis deals with possibility of using alternative source of energy to power low consumption biotelemetric sensors. To obtain energy for powering desired device was used photovoltaic phenomenon as a most suitable type of alternative source of energy. Practically is used technology of „Energy Harvesting“. At the beginning of the measuring chain voltage and current values are measured and evaluated, in the next step measured values are sent via the I2C interface to the controller, from which the already processed data is wirelessly sent to the mobile device. Mobile device concentraces and stores data to the memory or to the database. In the second part of the thesis is experimentally verified „Energy Harvesting“ by using the Peltier's phenomenon. First, heated water in the calibration bath was used to make thermal gradient between warm and cold side of Peltier module, which led to the generation of voltage. In the next step the created prototype containing the Peltier module was experimentally verified also on human skin, specifically on backs. Finally, the device was experimentally tested on two dogs.
