Protipovodňová opatření v obci Polička

Abstract

Diploma thesis analyse the situation of flood protection arrangements in Polička and it also deals with the suggestion for their improvement. The introduction contains characteristics and the beginning of floods in general, the process of flood solutions in the Czech Republic and influencing their course. In the next part I describe the Town of Polička and its entourage, history of floods and its solutions. In the main part I deal with the description of actual and planned flood-protection arrangements in the town. At the end of my thesis there are my suggestions for improvement of flood protection measures in the town.
