Abstract

The performance is defined as ability of company to valorize the resources, invested to his business activities, the best as it is possible. The goal of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the financial performance of company Trelleborg Automotive Slovakia during the period of 2004 - 2007, with using traditional and modern methods of evaluation of company financial performance. This thesis consists of five parts, including introduction and conclusion of diploma thesis. The theoretical part contains characterization of traditional methods of evaluation of financial performance, to which belong the analysis of proportioned, absolute and differential indicators, pyramidal decomposition of indicators named ROE – Return on Equity and analysis of aggregated models for measuring of company performance. There is also put up characterization of modern methods of evaluation financial performance – Economic Value Added and its pyramidal decomposition. The practical part is oriented at total evaluation of financial performance of the selected company by both traditional and modern methods. In the last part, there is brought out appreciation of the results of analysis and recommendations to future.
