Abstract

The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design and create several variants of primary cells testing and then select the most accurate variant. This topic was assigned by Saft Ferak a.s., which produces primary cells. Each manufactured cell have to be non-destructively tested to verify its parameters. The testing is done by first measuring the open-circuit voltage and then the cell is loaded and the voltage drop is measured. It is then evaluated whether the voltage drop due to the load conforms to the requirements. The task was to replace the existing unsatisfactory solution, where constant resistance loading the cell, with a new solution, where electronic load with constant current loading the cell. Thesis provides studied possibilities of electronic load and measurement card as well as ways to control these devices with software on a computer. Subsequently, four testing variants were designed, for which control applications were created in the LabVIEW development environment. First it was tested only with an electronic load and then together with a measuring card. Created testing variants were compared and the most accurate variant was selected.
