The Bachelor thesis entitled „Opava Public Library“ follows the urban study elaborated in semestral project of subject Sudio Work III and architectural study of the building elaborated in semestral project of subject Studio Work IV. The aim of the thesis was to elaborate the design of the new public library building in Opava, which would allow the relocation from Petr Bezruč House of Culture, where the Petr Bezruč Library is curently located. The new library should serve not only for book landing but should also create a public space which could be used for both study and recreation or meeting of the city’s residents.
