Abstract

This bachelor thesis aims to explain the basics of the Universal Serial Bus Interface (USB) and to prepare a laboratory exercise that compares the different generations of this interface. The thesis will cover a general description of USB, including a description of the basic layers, differences in connectors. In particular, it will focus on the evolution of USB technology and the contribution of the different generations of this interface. In addition to a general description of USB, the thesis will also look at hardware and software tools for analyzing Universal Serial Interface transfers. In the practical part, the thesis will deal with the verification of data throughput over different distances.
