Abstract

This diploma thesis characterizes open-pit mining of coherent rocks for gravel and crushed material production. It deals with rock massive disintegration, where it is necessary to use blasting operation which significantly influences whole the course of processing and preparation of mined rock and which also affects economy. In my thesis, I focus on the current state of blasting operation mainly, where it is possible to influence the disintegrated rock effectiveness. The aim of my diploma thesis is to map the current state of bench blasting provision and muck mining with a proposal for possibilities of improving the muck degree of breakage after the bench blasting to minimum, mainly for economic and seismic reasons.
