Abstract

Theme of my bachelor thesis is about vine culture of South Morava. I have chosen one region in South Morava which I’m writing about. Region is called Mikulovsko and village Pernou. At the beginning I have started with wine history in south Moravia. Continuing with winemaking: white and red wines and their effects on human health and how to degust wine. In other part I’m describing modern wine tourism in Morava and smaller winery regions. In my research I’m analyzing Mikulovsko which consists of 17 villages. In these villages I’m concentrating on wine tourism and part of it as is accommodation and catering possibilities. Village Perné was main source of information for me, where I know few people personally who are owners of wine-cellars and they do business in hospitality as well. I was interested in visit-rate and all the facilities offered in the village. At the end I’m summarizing results about Mikulovsko as a whole region and about village Perná as well. As a final result I could say that region is quite ready for tourism. The region can present itself; it is producing advertising brochures and organizing tours. My only comment on the region is: The region should be more presented in foreign countries.
