Analýza postojů spotřebitelek k nehormonálním metodám antikoncepce

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of female consumers’ attitudes towards non-hormonal contraceptive methods. The aim of the thesis is to determine what attitudes women hold towards this category of methods and which factors influence their decision-making. The thesis combines theoretical background on consumer attitudes and knowledge of the non-hormonal contraception market with empirical research conducted through an online questionnaire using the CAWI method on a sample of 348 women aged 18–45. The results show that respondents have relatively high awareness of non-hormonal methods; however, their personal experience with most of these methods is lower. The overall attitude towards non-hormonal contraception was predominantly positive. The most important factors in choosing a method were reliability, health safety, and minimal side effects. The most significant barrier was concern about lower reliability and the related fear of unintended pregnancy, while the main motivators were the lower perceived health burden on the body and the absence of synthetic hormones. Internet websites and professional online sources, as well as a gynaecologist or another physician, also play an important role in shaping these attitudes. The thesis offers practical recommendations mainly in the areas of communication, education, and support for women’s informed decision-making.
