Požár skládky jako komplexní bezpečnostní událost

Abstract

This bachelors thesis identifies and analyzes the risks associated with landfill fires, focusing on three key areas: the environment, responding fire and rescue services, and the protection of the population. In doing so, it provides a comprehensive perspective on a landfill fire as a safety incident characterized by the uncontrolled burning of waste. The thesis briefly outlines the legislative framework of the issue and addresses the statistics of both domestic and international landfill fires. The core of the thesis is based on the description and analysis of a fire at the landfill in the village of Radim, which serves as the foundation for the risk analysis. A point-based risk analysis was developed for the responding fire and rescue services, while a qualitative risk identification and assessment were conducted for the environmental components and the population. Based on the outputs of the analysis and the current legislative framework, the thesis presents a set of specific preventive, tactical, and safety recommendations for practical application.
