Abstract
This work treats of the measurement and control system proposal that could be applied to operate the small water power plant by using the control system REX working with the industrial PLC/PAC WinPAC WP-8000. The required characteristics of the power plant control system are analyzed primarily. Afterwards the essay is focused in the communication by using the Modbus protocol and in the water-level PID regulator proposal.
