Komparace managementu basketbalových klubů

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis Management Comparison of Basketball Clubs was to compare the management of two basketball teams, BK Opava and Orli Prostějov. These basketball clubs were compared according to their management, marketing, promotion and sponsorship. The main aim of the comparison was the survey of the current situation in the clubs which was made by using interview, questionnaire, public inquiry and SWOT analysis.

The theoretical part defines sport, sport organization, management, marketing and also contains the history of basketball itself. The end of this part emphasis on the methods and techniques which were used for obtaining the data for the survey.

The practical part consists of the description of the basketball clubs, including their history and organizational structures. It also shows the basic overview of fuding clubs. The conclusion of the survey was the difference between leadership style, satisfaction of players and also different audience interest. The promotion of both clubs was insufficient. It was recommended to put an emphasis on these deficiencies and try to change, posibly avoid them entirely.
