SENT Reader a Logger na platformě NI RIO v prostředí LabView

Abstract

This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of an application for reading and logging data transferred using SENT communication protocol, which is applied in certain sensors developed by Continental Automotive Czech Republic, s.r.o company. Application is build on National Instruments hardware platform NI Compact RIO, software is implemented in LabVIEW development environment and its FPGA and Real-Time extension modules. The theoretical part of this thesis serves as an introduction to NI RIO platform and provides a brief description of field programmable gate array, which is a core component of this platform. Subsequently theoretical part of thesis deals in detail with physical, link and application layer of SENT communication protocol according to SAE J2716 standard. Practical part of this thesis describes individual design, implementation and testing steps taken while developing partial software layers of implemented application.
