Abstract
This diploma thesis is dealing with the deviatility of individual and mass transportation in the Czech Republic and other factors influencing it. Deviatility is one of the four characteristics of the shape of a communication and is defined as the ratio of a traveled distance to the direct distance between said two places. The higher the deviatility, the more crooked the road becomes and the higher the requirements it needs to meet. The most frequent factors affecting deviatility are physical-geographical, socio-economic and political.
The testing of deviatility has been carried out over several regions of the Czech Republic chosen according to the factor type. For every factor, we chose two regions for which the traveling times were calculated. From them, the deviatility itself was later calculated. The results were compared both year on year and within the type of the selected transport. The result of this work is a statistical summary for every year and every region. The final values of a deviatility were divided into three clusters that define low to extreme values. From these values, we localized places with the worst results and created corresponding maps that show the direction of low and high values of deviatility.
