Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of the Darknet and its associated legal, economic, and ethical consequences. The aim was to analyze the problems related to its use and propose measures to protect individuals and society. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical section explains key concepts such as the Surface web, Deep web, and Dark web, and describes the history and structure of the Darknet, including tools like Tor and I2P. It also focuses on illegal activities on the Darknet, such as drug trafficking, arms trade, and the spread of extremist ideologies. The legal part addresses forms of cybercrime, legal regulations, and international challenges, as well as the economic and ethical consequences. The practical part contains a quantitative survey, which confirms the perception of the Darknet as a space for criminal activities and supports the need for greater regulation. Finally, the thesis proposes measures for the prevention and regulation of the Darknet, including educational programs, legislative changes, and international cooperation, with the goal of improving security and minimizing the negative consequences of the Darknet on society.
