Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with safety requirements for excavation works on linear construction sites. The first chapter contains a list of applicable legislation, from which the following chapters of the bachelor thesis are based. The following chapters describe excavation work, the methods of excavation work, the requirements for planning and preparing excavation work and the basic requirements for occupational safety. The last chapter contains the basic obligations of the excavation contractor and the design of safety measures for a specific construction site.
