Bioakumulace těžkých kovů v tkáních měkkýšů

Abstract

The main objective of this Bachelor thesis is the heavy metals bioaccumulation in mussel tissue and introduction of some species, most frequently used for biomonitoring. The variability of the bioaccumulation of heavy metals was extensively studied in some species of marine, freshwater and terrestrial molluscs. These species of molluscs were evaluated as possible bioindicators of metal contaminations in environment. Analysis indicated that different species bioaccumulate the metals in different range. Since we are well familiar with molluscs ecology, we use them for biomonitoring. Their tissues are using for analysis which show what concentrations of heavy metals are included in mollusc’s body and surrounding environment.
