Abstract
The aim of the diploma thesis was to find for the company Vítkovické slévárny, spol. s r.o the optimal mode of heat treatment of materiál made by high chromium cast iron under the company name OLVIT 90. At the beginning of the experiment, an analysis of the material with the appropriate chemical composition in the cast state was performed. Subsequently, heat treatment modes at 3 different destabilization temperatures (950 °C, 1050 °C and 1150 °C) were selected. After heat treatment, the individual samples were subjected to a hardness test and metallographic analysis. Based on the data obtained from individual measurements, the variant with a destabilization temperature of 1050 °C appears to be the most suitable variant of heat treatment from the point of view of hardness and stability of the material at higher temperatures.
