Abstract

The aim of this bachelor work is to compare situation of the labor market in the Czech and Slovak Republic. On the basis of knowledge resulting from comparative part of this work is to suggest measures to improve the situation of both compared countries. The whole work will be divided into three chapters. The first chapter will be focused on theoretical background of the labor market. The second chapter will be divided to two subchapters which are: „Labor market in the Czech Republic“ and „Labor market in the Slovak Republic“. In both cases there will be a description of active and passive employment policy, minimal wage and the basic indicators of the labor market. The third, last part will be devoted to a comparison of these two countries. Comparison will be made using economic indicators of the Czech and Slovak Republic labor market. Also there will be outlined recommendations for economic policy makers.
