Abstract

Master thesis basically describing utilization of Capstone microturbines for supplying preheated combustion air for steam boiler to provide industrial steam in following company and even for every other. Thesis helps to solve similar projects and also helps to understand other problems. It shows how to increase efficiency with better automatization system microturbine – steam boiler. Thesis shows economical cashflow with respect to thermal and electrical looses. Hint of the project was to supply technology to increase overal efficiency of made and energy flow in industrial company producing paper covers. Complete technological system include cogeneration unit in range of 200 kW and steam boiler 8 tons/hour. Cogeneration unit is based on microturbine from american company Capstone. Flue gas from microturbine is lead to gas burner in steam boiler, which was taylor made for this application. Thanks to this concept, customer get an technology with minimal influence to environment and huge save on primary fuel.
