Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on Age management in the construction company OHLA ŽS. The purpose of this work is analyse retirement within the company in order to enable the company to use selected Age Management methods such as mentoring. In addition, there is an evaluation of the results of the internal analysis and questionnaire survey and suggestions for changes leading to more effective human resource management.
The theoretical part contains theoretical knowledge in the field of human resource management, Age management and population development in the Czech Republic. The practical part contains a description of the selected joint stock company OHLA ŽS and an analytical part that presents the results of the analysis of internal data of the company and the responses from the questionnaire survey.
The results revealed a significant prevalence of older employees, critical numbers of departures in certain positions, and trends in the choice of future employers for students that the company will need to supplement its workforce. The results of the undergraduate survey along with suggestions and recommendations will be presented to the company's management.
