Abstract

This thesis deals with efficient parallel implementation of SVD. It describes methods for implementation of parallel code on clusters and how to minimize communication be- tween parallel processes. In second part, there is a general description of SVD application to biometric data processing. It describes method for image preprocessing that is vital for successful data comparison using LSI.
