Abstract

My bachelor-degree dissertation’s topic is a catering industry in business. The term catering is used in gastronomy and represents refreshment for a different social occasions, as well as various related activities – rentals of premises, staff recruitment and training, arrangement, purchase, cleaning and others. A boom in catering started in 1989 after velvet revolution, which supported expansion of this industry. An objective of this bachelor disseration is an application of theory into working process and providing an offer on a specific demand. The output includes calculations, selection of foods and drinks and all steps necessary for a successful performance. The dissertation provides instructions to enterpreneures starting their business in catering industry, broader view on the topic to students and to potential clients who would like to organise a similar event.
