Bankovní regulace a dohled v České republice a ve vybraných zemích

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with banking regulation and supervision in the Czech republic and the selected countries. The aim of this thesis is defined system of banking regulation and supervision in the selected countries, especially in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, United states of America and Canada, and then to make a comparison of those systems. In the first chapter I define general knowledge and basic rules of banking regulation. In the second chapter I focus on the Czech National Bank, which is the regulator in the Czech republic. In the last chapter I define regulators in the selected countries and describe their main functions. Then I compare them with each other and deduce trends that can be currently seen in the banking sector.
