Abstract
Within master thesis, a static assessment of the existing steel silos is done, which are located in the area of the concrete plant of the company EKO ZAPA beton, s.r.o.
in Zábřeh. The calculation procedure is elaborated in detail for 1 of three silos. For
the other 2, the resulting load values and final assessment are given.
The construction of the silo is modeled in the FEM environment of the SCIA Engineer software. First, the model is created in a simplified way to check the stress values. Then a detailed model is created including all reinforcing elements
and components of the silo connection to the supporting structure. Various types of analysis, from linear to detailed GMNIA, are gradually used for the assessment.
In the second part of the thesis, a study is prepared, which evaluates the influence of the mechanical damage on the stress values and load-bearing capacity of the structure. The motivation of this study is the real damage of the existing silo, according to which the model was created.
