Abstract

The main objective of this thesis is to create a control unit for vehicles powered from fuel element (in the first phase of development, the power supply is dealt with power from accumulator). Main task of the control unit is the creation of switching pulses (PWM) for three phase voltage inverter, which feeds an electric drive of vehicle. For these it scans actual value of currents, voltages and according with control algorithms it creates these pulses. The control unit is also fitted with interfaces for communication with any other vehicle controls like is I2C, SPI, SCI or CAN bus. In the first part of thesis there are analysed ways of regulation and control of drive. The next part describes the realization of the control unit, from the introduction DSC Freescale 56F8037 through schematic design to the creation of printed circuit board. Next part describes the creation of the program for the control unit, which was developed in CodeWarrior development studio, with using DSP56800E_Quick_Start. At the conclusion, there were performed experimental measurements when the control unit was connected to the voltage inverter operating as a four quadrant voltage converters and DC motor, in order to verify unit's functionality.
