Abstract
The subject of the thesis "Evaluation of Investment Efficiency" is the use of economic methods for assessing the effectiveness of the funds spent on specific investment of Dopravní podnik Ostrava, a.s. The first part is devoted to the characteristics of the company. In the second part is presented the theory, where are the basic concepts and methods for project evaluation. The third part contains a description of the investment project of the company. In the fourth part are used methods for evaluation a particular investment. The conclusion of the thesis is intended to summarize the results.
