Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the question of a mortgage loan as one of the sources of home financing. The theoretical part explains basic terms, and the first part is focused on mortgage banking in the Czech Republic. It describes the Czech mortgage banking development as well as the development of the Czech mortgage loans legislative settlement. Another part includes classification of mortgage loans by individual criteria and the mortgage application process. It also describes the mortgage loans and interest rates development, which is processed in diagrams and tables. The practical part deals with mortgage products analysis of chosen banks. At the end of the diploma thesis the recommendation of the most advantageous product of the chosen bank is given.
