Comparison of Selected Stock Exchanges in China and in the USA

Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to give readers a comprehensive understanding of the main stock exchanges in China and in the USA. We will see the differences between the stock exchanges in the two countries. The first part of this thesis is characteristics of stock exchanges. The important part of this paper is the third part and the fourth part, focusing on some specific aspects, including history, market overview, listing conditions, IPO and supervision, and in the fifth part is the key part of comparison. Shanghai Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange are the most influential stock exchanges in China and the United States. We can know the advantages and disadvantages of these two exchanges clearly, and finally predict the better development of the two stock exchanges in the future.
