Analýza protipovodňových opatření na vybraných vodních tocích

Abstract

The flood, which affected the Czech Republic in 2009, did not touch our county (district) which has been already affected by the flood in 2002. The flood of 2009 became the third worst disaster in the modern Czech history. As any natural phenomenon, it reflects its effects on wildlife and human being. In this work I want you to get acquainted with the two selected streams where the flood protection measures were implemented. In the next section, we will get acquainted with the term of flood, as the flood was incorporated into the legislation. The main objective of this thesis is the analysis of the costs associated with the flood. This analysis shows what damage was caused by the flood, what technical measures have been taken, including the quantifying of the cost in reference to the one protected resident.
