Odpadní amalgám ze stomatologické péče

Abstract

Waste amalgam from the field of dental care is a current problem not only in our country, in the Czech Republic, but also abroad. It is increasingly known that dental amalgam, due to its high mercury content, has a negative effect on the environment and the human body. The thesis describes the characteristics of waste amalgam, its composition, production and its toxicity. The legislative documents which are related to the disposal of waste amalgam in the Czech Republic are also mentioned. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the ways in which waste amalgam is used or disposed of.
