Strukturální analýza dovozu Evropské unie z Číny

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the assessment of structural changes in the European Union's imports from China in the years 2002 to 2025. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the transformation of the most important trade categories according to the SITC classification, the degree of import concentration and its technological complexity based on data from the Eurostat and UNCTAD databases. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the institutional framework of the EU's common commercial policy, types of trade agreements and trade protection instruments. The thesis also deals with the historical development of the Chinese economy, paying attention to the mutual relations between the EU and China and unfair trade practices by China. The thesis confirms the established hypotheses about the fundamental structural transformation of imports based on the technological classification of products. This shift towards technologically more sophisticated production is based on the Chinese strategy Made in China 2025.
