Abstract

The subject of a doctoral dissertation thesis is the issue of competitiveness, which is analysed and evaluated at national level of the European Union Member States. Ensuring the objective of doctoral dissertation thesis is closely related to the validation of relationship between competitiveness and productivity. This relationship is given by the initial hypothesis of doctoral dissertation theses based on the level of productivity, which is perceived as a crucial factor of competitive potential, respectively, it is assumed if the area has a higher level of productivity, this reflects the efficient and effective use of competitive advantages, which may lead to the strengthening of its competitiveness.
