Abstract

The intent of this thesis is a detailed analysis of the effects of technological changes in the flow of production of steel cord for its inclusion content. The impairment inclusion has a significant negative impact on the quality of the steel cord and causes problems when further processing by dragging the wire oval profile of 0.3 mm. The basic slag properties such as viscosity, surface tension, density are discussed in the introduction to the theoretical analysis. The slag system parameters are important for their specific role in the metallurgical process. Next, the large section is devoted to the characterization of synthetic slag regimes used in plant practice and their effects on refining of melted steel. In conclusion there is a practical analysis and evaluation of process flow changes in the production of steel cord. They identified the effects of this change on the inclusion content. Finally, a possible solution is proposed for improving the current production by preventing adverse effects.
