Abstract
The thesis deals with sickenss insurance system in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The theoretical part is aimed at the legal aspect of sikness insurance in the Czech Republic, changes in sickness insurance since 2008 and the methods of calculation of sickness benefits in different years. The goal is to analyze and evaluate the effect of legislative changes in sickness insurance in the Czech Republic in 2008-2010, the rate of sickness insurance and sickness insurance scheme comparison between the Czech and Slovak Republic. Finally, this thesis I propose a recommendation for sickness insurance in the Czech Republic, which would benefit the people of sickness insurance.
