Abstract

Bachelor thesis builds on the thesis Ing. Petra Obalová, which examined the properties of Fomitopsis pinicola and its suitability as an appropriate use of biomass for the sorption of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solution. The biosorbent are very time worked. Possible problem with hexavalent chromium biosorption could consist in the presence of trivalent chromium, which could have a negative impact on the spectrophotometric determination. Suitable grain size and activation time of sorbent was chosen based on the results Ing. Petra Obalová. As the chemical activator was therefore used hydrochloric acid 1 mol/l a 2 mol/l. The samples fractions of 1-2 mm were therefore activated 1-M and 2-M hydrochloric acid for 60 min.
