Abstract

This thesis presents the profile of the limited liability company MEVAPACK, s.r.o. and subsequently elaborates in detail on waste management activities. The first part describes the legal form of the business and the development of waste management from the very first business plan up to the present. The next part explains the basic terms in waste management, the method of recording and tracking waste in the Company, it describes machines and equipment as well as the handling procedures for selected types of waste, starting from their acceptance up to their handover to other entities. The next part deals with the legislation relating to waste management. The last part provides a detailed analysis of the development in quantity for selected types of waste with a prognosis of the expected development in the nearest future. The conclusion gives an assessment of the overall environmental contribution of the above described activities.
