Vývoj přestupků na území Ostravy v letech 2010-2013

Abstract

The thesis deals with the evaluation of offences registered by the Municipal Police of Ostrava in years 2012 and 2013. In the first part the situation in study area is introduced from the crime point of view. Following part presents and compares possible ways of geocoding. In the analytic part of the theses it deals with analysis of offences in terms of the temporal development and relationship to population quantity and structure of the population. Mainly the Quadrant method and hotspots analysis are applied to identify and describe patterns of offences in Ostrava. Finally the evaluation of the results is provided and the key benefits are discussed.
