Abstract
This Diploma thesis deals with overvoltage protection design for substations 0,4 kV the Dalkia ČR a.s. heating plant Karviná company as by ČSN EN 62 305 standard enacted. The Thesis has five main parts.
The first part is concerned with theoretical description of the atmospheric, working and switching overvoltage. Following here are described the kinds of protections, their functionality and installation.
The second part is concerned with current statement analysis of the external and internal overvoltage protections agains atmospheric and working overvoltage. There are also mentioned down-lead system, grounding and lightning systems. Result of the risk analysis has an effect on the process overvoltage protection design.
The third part is concerned with a summary of current statement analysis.
The fourth part framework general legislation.
The fifth part of the thesis is concerned with the SPD overvoltage protection design for substations 0,4 kV, especially location of the overvoltage down-leads and lightning arrester which mainly concerns the design and location of surge arresters and protection of 0.4 kV substation.
