Abstract

This diploma thesis is about the effect of the ground water on the buildings. The water is one of the main factors, which has a negative effect on the quality and lifetime of the building. The thesis focuses on the description of the negative effects on the buildings and materials, as well as on the elimination of these effects. In the first part the problems of intrusion of ground water through surroundings of the buildings are described. To prevent the intrusion through the rocks and soil the method of elimination using grouting has been chosen and described. The grouting of the rocks is an extensive topic and that is why the emphasis is put on the caulking grouting, more specifically on the brief description of the grouting materials, instruments and factors effecting grouting. The second part deals with the problems of the contact of the ground water and the building. The thesis aims on two direct hydro-insulating technologies which prevent the intrusion of the ground water into the building. These are the coating insulation and the intrusion of the building constructions. In the last part the mathematical model of the flow of water in the mass-concrete lining grouting adit is described. This was created in the Plaxis 2D software.
