Porovnání různých druhů trakčních motorů kolejových vozidel

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive comparison and analysis of the various types of traction motors used in rail vehicles. The introductory part describes the principles of dependent and independent traction. This is followed by a theoretical framework covering the characteristics, construction, and operating principles of direct current (DC), asynchronous (AC), and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM). The thesis further focuses on the requirements placed on traction motors, their cooling, and the arrangement of the traction drive, including the method of motor mounting in the vehicle bogie. The work also includes an overview of the practical application of individual motor types in rail vehicles, covering their design specifics, operating properties, maintenance, and the advantages and disadvantages of the respective technologies. In the concluding part, an overall comparison is conducted in terms of construction, operating properties, energy efficiency, maintenance, and operating costs. Based on this comparison, the dominant solution is identified, and possible directions for further development of traction motors are outlined, including their use in modern drives, such as battery traction.
