Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to determine the diffusion coefficients of hydrogen in steel TRIP 800 of type C-Mn-Si. The steel was studied after a standard heat treatment including intercritical annealing and annealing in the range of bainite transformation. A part of specimens was deformed plastically to modify their microstructure. Diffusion coefficients were determined on specimens in the standard state without plastic deformation and after 5% and 10% plastic deformation. Characteristics of hydrogen diffusion in the steel TRIP 800 were obtained using the electrochemical permeation method. Specimens were used in the form of thin discs with thickness of 0.5 mm approximately. Output sides of the specimens were coated with palladium to prevent recombination of hydrogen when leaving specimen. Diffusion coefficients of hydrogen in the TRIP steel were determined by Jerome’s method and method "time lag". Experimentally determined permeation curves were compared with the theoretical curves.
