Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to prepare technical documentation for all cable conductors
in the Transmission Systems and Media Laboratory in the frequency range up to 2.5 MHz. These
are SYKY and SYKFY cables with lengths of 500 meters and 1000 meters. The parameters of these
cables will be further compared with the catalog values and the ITU-T Recommendation G.996.1.
The characteristics impedance of these cable lines was calculated as the geometric mean of the input
impedances at short and idle conduction. A seven-parameter British Telecom model was used
to model the primary parameters of the line. The resulting values determined line parameters
are within the tolerances specified by the manufacturer, the differences from the ITU-T G.996.1
are described in further work
