Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with one industrial zone in the Statutory City of Ostrava and its selected three companies that are situated in the zone and its performance measurement. The thesis is divided into six chapters, the first of which is an introduction with a general introduction to this work. The second chapter includes a theoretical definition of the concept of business. It focuses mainly on performance measurement while the last part of the chapter consists of methodology. The third chapter is devoted to industrial zones and parks in the region of Ostrava. The fourth chapter begins with a description of the selected companies, including summary of their total assets, and also contains the table outputs according to chosen method for measuring performance. The fifth chapter builds on the previous chapter that proposes procedures and recommendations for improving performance. The conclusion summarizes the bachelor thesis.
