Abstract

One of the objectives of the European Union is to reduce disparities, as well as the Czech Republic seeks to reduce disparities by means of special (operating) programs. The aim of this work is to characterize the theoretical level and to bring theoretical and regional disparities in the practical part to identify, analyze and compare regional disparities at NUTS 2 regions (regions, cohesion) of the Czech Republic in the chosen reference period. The greatest disparities, we can identify the region of Prague and other regions of cohesion. Prague gets the best results in most of our surveyed selected indicators. Since 2000, the steady growth of GDP per capita net disposable income, investment and growth in expenditure on research and development. The level of economic activity, as well as assets acquired for environmental protection, the unstable character, but the global does not change much. The unemployment rate in all regions of the cohesion downward trend.
